Happy Birthday Chesapeake! The Chesapeake Jubilee is an annual celebration that started back in 1983 to celebrate the city's 20th birthday. The first Jubilee was held at Greenbrier Mall; it is now held at Chesapeake City Park. There are carnival type rides, musical performances and delicious food galore at the Jubilee, but one of the most exciting things to see is the fireworks display. These photos are just a sampling of the fireworks that were on display tonight -- it was spectacular as always! I have included non-traditional fireworks photos, for a change of pace.
